University of Melbourne Faculties
Entry into the UMELBP is different for each faculty or school at the University of Melbourne. Refer to the information below for specific information relating on your faculty's entry requirements.


Faculty of Arts

Applicants to the Faculty of Arts may be eligible for the UMELBP.

For courses requiring an IELTS score of 7.0, applicants can enter the bridging program with IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0).

For courses requiring an IELTS score of 6.5, applicants can enter the bridging program with IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.5).

Exclusions:

1. Applicants seeking entry to the following masters by coursework programs are not eligible for the UMELBP:

Global Media Communication
Global Journalism
Editing and Communications
Editing and Publishing

2. PhD, Masters by Research students are not eligible for the UMELBP.


Melbourne School of Design
Applicants for the Melbourne School of Design who achieve the following IELTS or TOEFL scores may be eligible to participate in the UMELBP:

Exclusions:
1.   Research students are not eligible for the UMELBP.



Faculty of Economics and Commerce
Qualified postgraduate and undergraduate applicants to the Faculty of Economics and Commerce may be eligible for the UMELBP.
Applicants who achieve the following IELTS or TOEFL scores and who have met all other academic requirements for entry to their chosen program (including GMAT where applicable) may be eligible to participate in the UMELBP.

Exclusions
1. Master of Teaching (secondary) applicants who select learning areas in TESOL, English or Language and Literacy must meet the subject requirements by achieving an IELTS score of 8.0 (with no band less than 7.0) and are not eligible for UMELBP.



Melbourne School of Land and Environment
The Melbourne School of Land and Environment offers the UMELBP as an option for undergraduate or postgraduate students, including the Master of Environment, who have achieved the following IELTS or TOEFL scores:
