How to apply
Eligible applicants will receive an offer conditional upon meeting the University’s English language requirements with the option of completing the University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP). 

Please ensure that you are eligible before you apply to the bridging program!
Your offer from the University of Melbourne should state that you have "the option of meeting the University's English language requirements by successfully completing the University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP)".

Hawthorn-Melbourne is unable to provide a UMELBP offer without an appropriate offer from the University of Melbourne as noted above. 
 

Step 1: Send the following documents to Hawthorn-Melbourne's Admissions Office: 
  • UMELBP Acceptance Form (if you are eligible for the UMELBP, you should have received this in the offer package from the Univeristy of Melbourne)
  • Hawthorn-Melbourne enrolment form (available in the Hawthorn-Melbourne brochure)
  • A copy of your UMELBP conditional offer from the University of Melbourne
  • A copy of your current IELTS Test Report Form

Step 2: Hawthorn-Melbourne will send you a "Letter of Offer" quoting fees, payment methods and confirming the dates of your course.


Step 3:
 After receiving your payment, Hawthorn-Melbourne will send you a "Confirmation of Enrolment" (COE). A copy will also be sent to the University of Melbourne.  


Step 4:
Send a copy of your CoE to the University of Melbourne. 


Step 5:
 Complete the University of Melbourne Acceptance and Payment Agreement form (provided with conditional offer letter) and return it with payment for the tuition fees and Overseas Health Cover to International Admissions, the University of Melbourne. 


Step 6:
The University of Melbourne will send you a CoE for your course at the University of Melbourne.


Step 7:
Apply for your student visa using both the CoEs from the University of Melbourne and the Hawthorn-Melbourne.
