Hawthorn-Melbourne has arranged various professional development and research seminars for visiting delegations. Drawing on a strong network in industry, private enterprise and academia (through the University of Melbourne and other sources) we are able to coordinate relevant and esteemed professionals to deliver specific course content.

Hawthorn-Melbourne have welcomed a diverse range of delegations for courses and seminars including, amongst others, the Zhejiang Geology Reconnaisance Bureau for 'Mine Rehabilitation & Environmental Protection'; Chongqing Universities Group for 'Human Resources - new directions in Australian thinking'; Zhejiang Women's Training Institute for 'Women in Management'; Xinjinag Uygur Autonomous Region for 'Animal Husbandry'; Guizhou Province Education Commission for an ' Overview of the Education System in Australia including Literacy for disadvantaged groups; and China United Engineers Corporation for ' Construction Planning Legislation'.

This 5 day course addressed a range of topics including the role
of private enterprise, government, the structure and role of government in Australia, the roles of both state and federal government in finance and economic systems, environmental protection as well as agricultural policies, among others. The delegation visited the Stock Exchange, the Melbourne City Council and several other places of interest to their research areas.
