Hawthorn-Melbourne specialises in preparing students for study at the University of Melbourne as well as other universities, TAFEs and high schools in Australia. Therefore, a Further Studies adviser is available full-time to assist students intending to go on to further study in Australia.

In May and November each year an Information Day is organised by the Further Studies office. Victorian universities, TAFEs and colleges come to Hawthorn to assist students needing information.

There is also a Further Studies resource area within the library which contains information for student use. There are brochures and handbooks from a range of institutions and a series of handouts on topics relevant to students intending to continue tertiary studies in Australia.
