Students should be aware of the following important information before leaving your home country.


Registration day
All new students must register and take a placement test. Students must attend the centre from 8.30am on the commencement day of the course. This is usually the Thursday before classes commence.

Students must bring the following items:

• Passport showing the appropriate visa/electronic visa.
• Your letter from Hawthorn confirming your enrolment.
• Any Further Studies offer to an Australian Institution (University, Foundation Studies, TAFE, High School), if applicable.
• IELTS or TOEFL test results if available.
• During the Registration Day, all new students take a placement test to ensure they are placed in an appropriate class.

Overseas student health cover
Students who have paid for overseas student health cover through OSHC Worldwide will receive their membership card approximately 1–2 weeks after their course commences.
